About CSLA
Recognizing the People Behind Exceptional Actions
Every day, security professionals across Canada help keep people and communities safe. Sometimes, they are called upon to go beyond their everyday responsibilities — responding to a medical emergency, intervening in a dangerous situation, or taking decisive action when someone's life is at risk.
The Canadian Security Lifesaver Association (CSLA) exists to recognize these exceptional actions and the security professionals behind them.
Who We Are

Licensed Security Guards Across Canada
An Important Role in Canadian Communities
Security professionals are often among the first people on scene when an emergency occurs. Their efforts frequently go beyond policing and enforcement, and there are countless examples of incidents in which security personnel, through their direct actions, have helped save lives.
Recognizing Exceptional Actions
Stepping Forward When It Matters Most
Security professionals are often among the first people on scene when an emergency occurs. Their training, situational awareness, judgement and willingness to act can make a critical difference.
The CSLA recognizes security professionals whose actions have contributed to saving a life or protecting someone from serious harm.
By sharing their stories and recognizing their actions, we also help highlight the important role security professionals play in public safety across Canada.
